Matt Wassel is Vice President & Director of Field Operations. He oversees the curriculum taught at all Patriot Flag Football programs as well as the training of PFF staff. Matt also provides coaches with our customized, age-specific curriculum that offers them a foundation for success for their teams.
Matt has been a teacher and coach for the past 25 years. In addition, he has spent the last 10 years mentoring children as a counselor at Nobles Day Camp. Matt is a Fitness and Health teacher at Wellesley High School and the defensive coordinator of King Philip Regional High School's varsity football team. Matt has vast football experience at the high school and college levels, both as a player at West Point and Worcester Polytechnic Institute, and as a coach at Stonehill College (defensive backs) and high school at Wellesley, Oliver Ames, Braintree, and King Philip. He is also a volunteer coach with Walpole Little League and Walpole Youth Wrestling.
Matt lives in Walpole with his wife Rachel, daughter Sophia and son Chase. When he is not teaching, coaching or volunteering he enjoys hiking, skiing and fishing.
