ABOUT
Patriot Flag Football (PFF) is running its 5th annual Co-Ed Spring League with play beginning in April 2026, open to children in grades K-7. Our volunteer parent coaches will focus on football fundamentals with an emphasis on teamwork, sportsmanship, fun and positivity. Games are expected to be played at Montrose School (Medfield, MA), Norfolk County Agricultural High School (Walpole, MA), and a third TBD location.
DIVISIONS*
Kindergarten - 1st Grade
2nd Grade - 3rd Grade
4th Grade - 5th Grade
**6th Grade - 7th Grade**
*Teams typically play games within their individual grade despite multi-grade division format.
**Please note that if we don't receive enough registrations for 6th-7th grades to form a complete division, the 6th graders will be automatically moved to the 4th-5th division and the 7th graders will be fully refunded.
SEASON DATES & TIMES
Sundays, April 12 - June 14, 2026, 8 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. No games April 19 (beginning school vacation week) and May 24 (Memorial Day weekend).
Older divisions will generally start games earlier in the morning while younger divisions will generally start later in the morning.
Each team will be scheduled to play 8 games, including playoffs.
Coaches are encouraged to have one practice per week.
TEAM FORMATIONWhile each participant
must register individually, coaches may submit a team roster to
[email protected], along with your preferred NFL teams. The PFF team will keep coaches posted on individual registrations. Coaches should instruct player guardians to list the coach's name when completing the "Coach Request" question during registration.
The majority of registrations will likely not be coach-submitted rosters. These players will be placed on teams based on buddy requests (please input the names of friends you want on your child's team during registration), towns and schools. PFF strives to place each player on a team with a friend, classmate or potentially a new friend from the same town!
ATTENTION COACHES (AND POTENTIAL COACHES)Coaching flag football is both exciting and rewarding, but we know it can also be very intimidating. Not to worry. One of PFF's major focuses is setting our volunteer parent coaches up for a successful season. We will provide our coaches with innovative communication tools, age appropriate practice drills and easy to comprehend playbooks to assist them on their coaching journey. This will help guarantee player engagement, which is the key to a fun and rewarding youth sports experience. There is a section in the registration process for guardians to sign up to volunteer as a head or assistant coach. For more information please feel free to email us at
[email protected]PLAYING TIMEEach team this Spring will most likely have 12 kids. This is geared towards equal playing time, and to accommodate as many kids into the program as possible.
EQUIPMENT Each child will receive their own flags and a reversible NFL FLAG jersey with their LAST NAME PRINTED ON THE BACK. Players must bring or purchase their own mouth guard and wear it at all games and practices. Players may wear sneakers or cleats (no metal spikes) during games.
Please review the sizing details below to determine which size jersey to select for your child. Effective August 2025, jersey sizes tend to run on the smaller side. Patriot Flag Football recommends you order one size larger than your child's typical t-shirt size.

PARENT/GUARDIAN EXPERIENCE
The PFF team is comprised of three families with children ages 9-17, all involved in various youth sports. Everything we do is geared towards a positive experience for our athletes and parents/guardians. To that end, a member of the PFF team is always available on the field during gamedays under our green tent or table. We also acknowledge, respond or answer inquiries emailed to
[email protected] within 24 hours.
Parents/guardians will receive automated email notifications when their athlete is added to a team roster prior to the start of the season. The email will include names and contact information of teammates and coaches.
Game schedules for the first five weeks will be posted 1-2 weeks prior to the start of the season. Schedules for playoff weeks 6, 7 and 8 will be posted by Tuesday each week. Automated emails are sent whenever schedules are posted. Parents/guardians will also receive automated game reminder emails two days before each game.
