Ayla Brown Joins Patriot Flag Football’s Board of Directors 

WALPOLE, MA - Patriot Flag Football is thrilled to announce that Ayla Brown has joined its Board of Directors. Brown is a radio personality on Boston’s Country 102.5, an accomplished country music singer, and a two-time Massachusetts Gatorade Player of the Year who went on to dominate Division I college basketball at Boston College. 

Brown’s diverse background and passion makes her the perfect role model and ambassador to connect with the youth of Norfolk County. Growing up in the King Phillip area, Brown was determined to play football even if she was the only girl. Brown played as the only female player for three years, and was named team captain multiple times. “I am so thrilled to be working alongside people who are deeply passionate about the future of sports, and the children playing them. I played boys football growing up and I never thought I’d see the day when there would be just as many girls as boys on the field at the same time” said Brown, “The next generation is ready to kick butt!” 

Female participation in flag football is growing throughout the United States, and girls flag football is one of the fastest growing varsity high school sports in the country. On February 2, 2021 Nike and NFL announced their partnership to grow girls flag football in the United States. With the help of Brown and the rest of our Board of Directors, Patriot Flag Football plans to enable this growth and lead the charge on spreading the enthusiasm around the sport in Massachusetts.

“Growing up there were always so many more sports and teams available for boys than sports and teams for girls. Now that I am a mother, I understand opportunities must be available for both my sons and my daughter”, said Colleen Campbell, Director of Marketing and Public Relations, “Patriot Flag Football is ready to bring female athletes to the forefront of football. I hope everyone else is ready for these athletes too!”
